The Keukenhof, also known as “The garden of Europe”, is one of the world’s largest flower and tulip gardens. It is located in Lisse, in the province of Zuid-Holland. According to the park itself, about 7 million flower bulbs are planted annually in the park, which covers an area of 79 acres. It is accessible by bus and train of Haarlem, Leiden and Schiphol.
It is located in an area called the Dune- and Bulb region (duin- en bollenstreek). The Keukenhof is open annually from March 22 to May 13. The best time to view the tulips is around mid-April, depending on the weather.
